The following are some "other" comments made to members of Mariachi Pasion . . .
- What you girls need is a male voice... The patron hadn't even heard us yet....
- Where are all the men?
- You have to learn "Mexicali Rose"... You do speak Englsh don't you?
- You ladies sound good.... from a distance.
- You girls sounded very nice... but I don't have any ear drums left!

- A patron tried to "play" the strings of the bass while she was playing...
- Just go away.... Did you hear me.... Just go away????
- A patron covered his ears with two menus as we walked by...
- We would like to hear something... Do you have to sing it in Mexican?
- After translating a song, the mariachi was asked, "Does that mean you want to come up to my room?
- Can you play that "wacky, wicky, wacky, wacky chiquita banana song? ... The song was Cielito Lindo . . .
- I've never heard girls sing Volver, Volver....
- Hey Rosarita....
- I man ran his hand over one of the mariachi's plata... and remarked, "I love these medallions"...
- Does anyone here speak English (...We all do)....Does anyone here speak Spanish (...We all do... )
- Well, then what do you call yourselves mariach-ette's???
- Hey, I wonder if they all have their green cards....
- Play Feliz Navidad... and you'd better jazz it up!!

- A gentleman took one of the girls’ Santa Hats (for use during the holidays) and refused to give it back. When she asked for it back, he purred something suggestive in her ear.
- Sometimes we are dismissed by a mere flick of the wrist --- with an added...Can’t you see we’re talking???
- Sometimes we are completely ignored --- everyone just stares in front of them in hopes that we don’t ask them if they’d like to hear a song....

- ...Directed at our trumpet section…”Hey, not bad for a Caucasian.” Everyone in the group is of Latino descent.
